every project has its own story,
and each space Atelier Collective designs is unique.
We know that design has the power to impact lives and enrich communities, and that inspires us to reinvent the way people interact with an interior. We collaborate with the client, the greater design community, and draw upon an extensive knowledge of technology and sustainable materials in order to convey a specific message that reflects your organization’s brand and values.

bio
Andrea Muller | Principal Interior Designer | RID, DID
Throughout her 10 years in the industry, Andrea has led projects of varying size with unparalleled dedication and professionalism. She evaluates and optimizes new and existing buildings with tenants in mind, ensuring that a building design provides flexibility and efficiency and is attractive to prospective occupants. She then translates the needs into a cohesive, well-considered layout that delivers on all identified functional requirements while infusing creative flair. The result: a solution that balances creativity with functionality.
Andrea thrives in the details, and has a talent for simplifying complex and custom designs into buildable elements. She loves practicing in an industry that is constantly evolving as it provides opportunity for continued learning and adaption to the most current trends and technologies. She stays up to date through a variety of design meetings and events presented by the Interior Designers Institute of BC (of which she is a member), various consultants and product representatives. In addition, she finds continued inspiration as she builds relationships with clients, fellow designers, product representatives and contractors. Andrea has a strong educational background which speaks for itself, and has taught at the Interior Design program at the Centre for Arts and Technology in Kelowna.
“The first impression can be the last impression,” Andrea says, “and I am excited to provide the best impression that speaks to the heart of a client’s company and the value and commitment that it delivers.”

process
We believe difference in design exists not only within the details of a space, but also in the process—from beginning to end. The traditional interior design process, which incorporates various phases of design, can seem daunting. We translate this into a simple and achievable undertaking for our clients.
- 01 -
foundation
Design is not only about the aesthetic of a space, but how the space will make a difference in everyday life for you, your team and your clientele. Discussion and discovery is foundational as we seek to understand the essence of your company—who you are, your core values and your vision. From there we’ll design a space that will tell your story and represent your brand. Equally important, we want to create a space that makes a difference to its users. We’ll gather information about your specific needs, your “wish list,” the current functionality and atmosphere of the space along with the likes and dislikes of its users—all with the ultimate goal of creating a design with a difference.
- 02 -
vision
This is the stage where we dream and develop. It’s where your wish list emerges and your imagination can soar! We take your ideas and vision and polish them to create a concept that will reflect your company and reinforce your brand. In this stage the design starts to take shape and form in multiple mediums: space plans, elevations, renderings, material selection and furniture layout and requirements.
- 03 -
reality
In this final phase we pair the design with technology to produce and deliver tangible drawings. This includes a set of drawings illustrating the plans, details and materials that establish the design guideline and map for the contractor. But we won’t leave you there. We’ll manage the contract and bidding portion of the project by working with you to find the best fit based on relationship, budget and timeframe. In doing so we can help you save time and money, and reach the very best end result possible.
